On June 24, 2021, the ScieCon Digital Summer will take place! btS e.V. has been organizing the company contact fair at various locations throughout Germany since 1999, and in July 2020 ScieCon was held in digital form for the first time.

Alumni of iRTG 130 or company representatives have the opportunity to present their career path and current position. Further the respective company and entry opportunities can also be presented. The Career Day should enable exchange between companies and young academics. In addition to the presentation of professional perspectives in the participating companies, this event should also offer a networking platform.

The TRR 241 online congress "Vision 2030. Changing Paradigms in inflammatory bowel diseases" will take place from 10-11 June 2021. Registration is required.

The FAU Graduate Centre offers a range of interdisciplinary information events and core skills workshops which are open to all registered doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers. For a fair registration process, course registrations via StudOn will open from 1 April, 10 a.m. – 15 April, midnight. Seminar places will be allocated at random from all registrations received by this time.

Due to the current situation, the organizers together with the universities decided to move the Long Night of Sciences in Nuremberg-Erlangen-Fürth from October 23, 2021 to May 21, 2022.

At the meeting of the steering committee on 21.10.2020 the GRK 2599 "Fine-Tuners of the Adaptive Immune Response" was officially integrated as a new programme in Life@FAU. The goal of the RTG 2599 is to establish an internationally competitive research and training program to promote young scientists and medical students in the field of immunology.

Since the beginning of June 2020, we have two new representatives of the doctoral students to the Life@FAU Steering Committee. Johanna Eiblwieser and Vivien Strauch will now represent the interests of doctoral students in this committee. We like to welcome them and look forward to working together in the future.

The worldwide campaign “Long Night Against Procrastination″ is dedicated once a year – always on the first Thursday in March – to scientific writing far away from the lonely desk. Under the motto “Long Night of Writing”, the University Library invites you on 5 March 2020 from 5 pm to midnight.

ISCOMS is one of the world’s leading student congresses in (bio)medical sciences. The 27th edition of ISCOMS will take place from the 2nd of June until the 5th of June at the University Medical Center of Groningen in the Netherlands. It offers a stimulating venue for student research exchange and gives students the opportunity to broaden their social scientific network! Besides the congress itself, we also provide an opportunity for ambitious students to follow our ISCOMS Research Fellowships (IRF).
